Con el cierre del cine Alhambra, también cerró la opción de ver cine en una sala comercial y tuvieron que pasar casi cuatro años para que terminara esa oscuridad. El cine Star de Copiapó, tal como su nombre, brilló en el firmamento del cine comercial y regaló dos salas, que hoy parecen sacadas de un sueño si se comparan con el antiguo, pero nostálgico, cine Alhambra.
Tecnología de punta, que va desde sonido Dolby Stereo Sourround hasta la proyección en Cinema Scope, un sistema único que entrega nitidez y amplitud en una pantalla gigante, es la que trajo este nuevo recinto que luego de varios meses de dudas, por fin vio la luz con tres películas que quedarán en la retina de los cinéfilos locales, la olvidable “Dragon Ball, Evolution” , la entretenida y animada “Monstruos versus Aliens” y la innecesaria “Wolverine, X-men 4”.
Fueron películas comerciales y que por hoy parecen ser la mejor marca del cine local y que ha seguido la tónica en los estrenos siguientes. “Rapido y Furioso 4” (entretenida y vacía), “Una noche en el mu
seo 2” (solo entretenida) y “Star Trek” (Interesante y un descubrimiento). Quizás no hay espacio para un cine más alternativo, pero sin duda, el cine comercial también tiene mucho que decir. “Star Trek”, por ejemplo, es una cinta interesante y es que hoy el cine arte puede ser un templo de calidad, pero hay cintas comerciales que también pueden entregar frescura y calidad. Además ya tuvimos estrenos mundiales como “Harry Potter” (algo lenta y sólo para fanáticos) y la “La Era del Hielo 3” (delirante, pero repetitiva). No queda más que ir y ver al cine comercial con los ojos que se merece… los ojos de la entretención y de repente puede salir más de alguna sorpresa….
